I'm sitting in Wilson's office right now. I've come in with him a couple days so far. It's been kinda fun, commuting together. I basically check my email, email potential contacts for a job, IM with Peggy, etc. I initially wanted to take 2 months off but now I'm not so sure. It's funny how your job becomes such a part of your identity. I didn't realize it until now when I don't have a job. When I go on interviews and the people interviewing me whip out their business cards, I want to whip mine out to say I'm important too, but I can't.

Wilson and I are in Seattle visiting family. Yesterday we went to church with Amber and Ivan. It's been a while since I went to a church that wasn't Vision. I could feel that the church had community but it wasn't the same. It made me really miss P. Joe's speaking, our worship team, and our family at Vision. It was nice however to see different generations worshipping together, seeing grandparents and children. The people at the church were really friendly. They had a greet your neighbor time and after service one woman made it a point to introduce herself to us. For me, it was a good reminder of what new people must feel and how important it is for us to be welcoming to newcomers.

I thought I was going to get very emotional during the ceremony but I was so happy that all I could do was smile.
